Is the drain an option for cleaning only or required refrigeration drainage?
Thank you for your interest in the 75-inch open meat case. This unit requires a drain for proper refrigeration operation. During normal use, the evaporator removes moisture from the air, which builds up as frost. When the compressor cycles off or during scheduled defrost periods, this frost melts and flows into the drain pan, then down through the drain line.
